Excellent badge in silvered zinc, very fine condition. 63mm by 42mm. 90%+ of finish. Nickle pin and steel catch are crimp/soldered to the reverse of the badge. Semi-vault contoured back design. Very nice example. Marked on reverse with the AS in a triangle hallmark for Adolf Scholze, Grünwald.
The Panzer Badge (German: Panzerkampfabzeichen) was a World War II military decoration of Nazi Germany awarded to troops in armored divisions. Before 1 June 1940 it was known as the Panzerkampfwagenabzeichen.
