Nice quality, transitional (1933-35), hand embroidered, opened topped, oak-leave wreath with six, small, acorns in bright, silver/aluminum wire threads and metal national tri-color cockade all mounted on a cut-out, padded, blue/green badge cloth base. Roughly 65mm wide x 43mm tall. Original price label is on the reverse, some glue residue visible likely from original use.
The German Army (German: Heer; lit. ’army’) was the land forces component of the Wehrmacht, the regular armed forces of Nazi Germany, from 1935 until it effectively ceased to exist in 1945 and then was formally dissolved in August 1946.
