German Army Wehrmacht Heer Visor Cap Eagle Insignia 1939


Second pattern, (Circa March 1935-May 1945), die stamped aluminum, construction national eagle features outstretched wings, and is clutching a wreathed, canted swastika in it’s talons.

The eagle is has a roughly, 2 5/8″, (64mm), wingspan from wing tip to wing tip. The hollow reverse of the eagle is smooth and has no prongs remaining. The reverse is marked G.C.W. 39, for 1939.
