Very nice pennant made in silk with embroidered HJ emblems on both sides in silk with a cotton hoist. Measures 9″ long by 6″ along the hoist. Two sided pennant. Does not glow under black light inspection as shown in images. A few small holes in upper corner where it appears there was additional embroidery at one time.
The League of German Girls or the Band of German Maidens (German: Bund Deutscher Mädel, abbreviated as BDM) was the girls’ wing of the Nazi Party youth movement, the Hitler Youth. It was the only legal female youth organization in Nazi Germany.
