A 1930’s Deutsches Jungvolk “German Youths” badge; in silvered Tombac with black and textured red enamels. Marked Ges. Gesch., on pin plate. Very nice early piece, pre-1934. Enamel in good condition with a few small chips. 20mm. Silvered Tombac but most of the silver finish is gone.
The DJ (Deutsches Jungvolk) was a youth organization similar to the Hitler Youth, but was meant solely for boys of the ages 10-14. Membership became fully compulsory for boys in 1939.
