Nice quality, hand embroidered breast eagle with outstretched wings, clutching a wreathed, canted, swastika in it’s talons, in bright ,silver/aluminum wire threads on a cut-out, blue/green badge cloth base. Measures 110mm in width. Protective paper backing on back.
The German Army (German: Heer; lit. ’army’) was the land forces component of the Wehrmacht, the regular armed forces of Nazi Germany, from 1935 until it effectively ceased to exist in 1945 and then was formally dissolved in August 1946.
