German NSDAP Procelain Soup Bowl Norwegian Made
Rare, Norwegian made NSDAP procelain soup bowl. Measures 8-1/4″ across. In excellent condition. One small rub mark near eagle (see image), Makred PORSGRUNN NORGE PP on reverse. Porsgrunn is the city in Norway where the Porsgrunds Porcelain factory was located.
Porsgrunds Porcelain Factory was founded in 1885 by a shipowner, Johan
Jeremiassen. Establishing the business, Jeremiassen co-operated with Carl Maria Bauer from Germany. This Norwegian factory fired first porcelain items February 2, 1887.
The Porsgrund Norge PP anchor mark shown was used from 1937 – 1958.
