German Reichsmesse Leipzig Herbst 1941 Badge


Cast gray metal badge measuring 48mm wide x 17mm long shows light age and features a double “M” logo on the left end with a central panel inset with simulated mother-of-pearl surrounded by the raised inscription, “Reichsmesse Leipzig Herbst 1941” (State Fair Leipzig Fall 1941). Reverse badge is complete with attaching pin and features the raised inscription, “Fruhjahrs Messe 1942 Beginn 1.Marz” (Spring Fair 1942 begins 1 March). Apparently, the reverse inscription was to advertise the upcoming Spring event in Leipzig. Reverse badge is also stamped the the serial/control number “47723”. Unique style commemorative, superb detail, and no damage to the rarely seen simulated mother-of-pearl. Direct vet purchase.
