German SA M33 Dagger Gebrüder-Heller Schmalkalden
$1,199.97
This SA [Sturmabteilung] Dagger in very nice condition. Model 1933. The total length is 37.3 cm. Early Nickel fittings, lower guard with BO [Bayrische-Ostmark] stamp (which is a correct Gruppe mark for a Gebrüder-Heller of Schmalkalden). The Dagger has the inscription: Alles für Deutschland. Maker mark on the blade: Gebrüder-Heller. This early SA was produced between 1933 and 1936.
Grip: The mounts on this example are all solid nickel. The lower crossguard is Gruppe marked, “BO”. The grip is a fine wood. This grip is in very nice condition with minimal normal wear. The SA runes button has good enamel. This eagle is in good condition having full details to its head, eye, breast and wing feathering, talons, wreath and mobile swastika and minor wear to silvering.
Blade: The blade is in good uncleaned condition. The SA motto is crisp and deep having good uniform darkening in the background letters. Normal and minimal scabbard marks on the blade. No chips, marks, dents, or other damage. The ricasso area still has the full trademark, consisting of the anchor encircled by the maker’s name in a double circle Gebrüder-Heller, Schmalkalden. Full SA inscription: Alles für Deutschland. Blade does exhibit some darkening to spots, but there is no surface damage.
Scabbard: The scabbard shell is a fine example. The scabbard mounts are of solid matching nickel, in good condition with minor normal wear to the surface and some discoloration to a few surfaces as seen in images. No dents, dings, or scratches. Original brown factory anodized steel scabbard shows approx. 80% wear to outer layer, but retains 95%+ of undercoating.
