Die stamped and gilt Tombac badge with nice enamel work; in very good condition with a few spots of enamel missing. Measures 25mm tall with a 52mm knurled pin. Unmarked and pin attached directly to the badge. Very rare badge.
The Sauerland is a rural, hilly area spreading across most of the south-eastern part of North Rhine-Westphalia, in parts heavily forested and, apart from the major valleys, sparsely inhabited.
