German SS TeNo 18mm Uniform Button Assmann

Multi-piece button make in zinc backing with silvered zinc front. Measures 18mm in diameter. Marked 18m and HOCHFEIN QUALITAT on reverse. Made by FW Assmann & Söhne with stylized A on reverse. (Two available in like condition.)

Technische Nothilfe (abbreviated as TN, T.N, T.H, Tech Nh, TeNo, TENO; lit. ’Technical Emergency Corps’) was a German organization. It began as a strikebreaker organization after the First World War, but developed into a volunteer emergency response unit. During the Nazi period TN became in charge of technical civil defense. It fell under the authority of the SS from 1943 through the end of the war.
