Original Italian badge in enameled brass measuring 22.5mm tall. Excellent condition with all gilt finish intact. The badge is made in 6 strips of enamel forming the flags of Spain and Italy separated by the Italian Fasces. The badge is marked and made by Lorioli-Fratelli of Milano.
The Corps of Volunteer Troops (Italian: Corpo Truppe Volontarie, CTV) was a Fascist Italian expeditionary force of military volunteers, which was sent to Spain to support the Nationalist forces under General Francisco Franco against the Spanish Republic during the Spanish Civil War, 1936–39.
