The 1943 AMERICAN EMBLEM COMPANY Purple Heart medal is un-numbered, & made of bronze with gold gilt, & a slot brooch. WWII issue in original coffin case with button hole badge and ribbon bar. Also, WWII issue Bronze Star with button hole badge and ribbon in original coffin box case.
Both awards named to Aaron Schaak. Schaak was a Master Sergeant in the US Army Air Force during WWII. Schaak was born in 1917 and lived in Big Horn, Montana. He served from Feb. 1941 through Sep. 1945. He lived in St Xavier, Montana until his death in 1999.
