Good used condition Heer Schützenschnur Grade III.
A Army Marksmanship Lanyard, consisting of an insignia constructed of silvered aluminum, affixed with three reverse attachment prongs to a lanyard constructed of multiple rows of twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire, each end completing in a loop, unmarked, the insignia measuring 38mm (h) x 28mm (w), the lanyard measuring 410mm in length, in overall good condition with signs of wear were expected from uniform usage. Includes two metal shells indicating grade.
The basic shield was used from 1936 through 1939, when specialized shields were introduced for infantry and armored units. This might have been a transitional item, or non-regulation item.
