German Army Wehrmacht Heer Visor Cap Eagle Insignia FLL 38

Second pattern, (Circa March 1935-May 1945), silver washed, die stamped aluminum, construction national eagle features outstretched wings, and is clutching a wreathed, canted swastika in it’s talons.

The eagle is has a roughly, 2 5/8″, (6.6cm), wingspan from wing tip to wing tip. The hollow reverse of the eagle is a mirror image of the obverse and all three of the original, crimped set, round wire prongs are intact. The reverse is marked FLL 38 for Friedrich Linden – Ludenscheid made in 1938.

This is a late war economy version of the earlier cap eagles.
