German Luftwaffe Hermann Göring Division EM/NCO M43 Cap Eagle Patch

Machine embroidered, second pattern, (1943-1945), Luftwaffe eagle. Silvery & grey rayon threads, mounted on black wool with black backing. Measures 72mm for wear on the overseas cap.

Airfield ground crew personnel of the Hermann Göring Division were also issued with a black overseas work cap. The national eagle worn on the black headgear was identical to the standard issue eagle but was worked on a black background as opposed to the regular Luftwaffe blue/grey background.
