Commemorative badge for the Imperial Army maneuvers in November 1934. The maneuvers included the 1st, 2nd and 14th Imperial Guard Divisions and was conducted on the Kanto Plain. Badge measures 50mm by 30mm. Excellent condition. The maneuvers were under the direction of His Majesty Grand Marshall of the Japanese Empire, Emperor Hirohito.

Hirohito (29 April 1901 – 7 January 1989), posthumously honored as Emperor Shōwa, was the 124th emperor of Japan, reigning from 1926 until his death in 1989. He was one of the longest-reigning monarchs in the world, with his reign of 62 years being the longest of any Japanese emperor.
